June 7, 2026 - Deacon Tim Darnell addressed the issue of how Christians need to relate and witness to people who are living lives that reject God's commandments. Leviticus 18 defined alternate lifestyles as an abomination to God. Yet modern society almost demands our acceptance of sexual immorality, gay and transgender choices. We are to love the sinner, hate the sin, and witness God's love and forgiveness to others. Live your own life with integrity, leaving no doubt in what you believe.
May 31, 2026 - Deacon Tim Darnell brought a message of hope and perseverance for those who feel they are at the end of their rope. Scripture has many references to situations that challenge and stress us and the strength that God will bring to carry us through. A rope tied to the cross will never break. Psalm 119:28, Matthew 26:37-39, Galatians 6:9, Romans 5:3-4, James 1:12, Hebrews 12:1, Philippians 3:13-14, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, 2 Thessalonians 3:13, Lamentations 3:22-23, Psalm 46:1, 2 Timothy 4:7-8
May 24, 2026 - Deacon Tim Darnell reminded us of the true meaning of Memorial Day, a day of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We need to reflect on the high cost of freedom. Jesus died for our sins; soldiers died for our freedom. We need to be worthy Christians and be worthy Americans.
John 3:16, Romans 5:7, 2 Corinthians 3:17, Mark 5:36
May 17, 2026 - Deacon Tim Darnell brought a message today about denying oneself to serve God in a "me first" culture. Jesus is reported in both Luke and Matthew as saying that we should deny ourselves, take up the cross daily and follow Him. That means being willing to make the small sacrifices daily to spend time in the Bible and in prayer, to pass on personal plans to help a neighbor, to make worship a priority on Sundays. Our behavior shows our priorities. Who are you going to follow?
Luke 9:23-26, Matthew 16:24-26
May 10, 2026 - Deacon Tim Darnell praised the role of our mothers who God provided to guide and comfort us. The Bible is their instruction manual with many scriptures describing the virtuous way of life. They are our first examples of faithfulness. Their unconditional love helps us to understand God's persistent love for us.
Proverbs 31:25-26, 31 and 2 Timothy 1:5
